Cleaning the bathroom can be the most dreaded room in the house to clean. There's lot of tight crevices, stains, and soap scum, not to mention it's the ideal place for bacteria to hang out.
These 12 hacks will make cleaning the most dreaded room in the house feel like a breeze. Not only are these hacks efficient, but they're CHEAP, and you probably have everything you need already in your house.
1. Shower Head
For our first hack, we're going to need some vinegar. This ingredient is used in most natural cleaners out there because it's super effective. You'll also need a plastic bag and a rubber band.
Fill the bag with vinegar and wrap it around the shower head. Secure the bag on to the shower head with a rubber band and let it sit for an hour. Remove the bag and run the water for a few minutes, and wipe down the shower head. It should now be spotless.
2. Bathtub & Shower Cleaner
To make a very effective bathroom and bathtub cleaner from scratch, we will use 1 part Dawn Dishsoap, 1 part vinegar, and pour it into a dish wand. Turn on your shower to get the tiles wet, and start scrubbing. The mixture is great at cutting through soap scum and water residue.
3. Cleaning Moldy Grout
One of the worst parts of the bathroom is always the mold that builds up between the tiles of the shower and bathtub. It's usually a blackish muck that looks disgusting.
To get the grout clean, mix some bleach and baking soda to make a paste. Use enough so you have plenty of paste to cover every area where you can see the black muck. Apply it to the areas and let it sit overnight. When you wake up the next morning, wipe the paste away. You can use a toothbrush to get the sections where it's really bad.
4. Cleaning Water Stains
This is a very simple trick you can use to get rid of water stains on the faucets. Cut a lemon in half, and use that half to scrub the faucets, or anywhere you see water stains. It will immediately get rid of them and have your fixtures sparkling.
